The Fall is an album from British alternative group Gorillaz. The album was officially announced on 20th December 2010 and soon after released on 25th December 2010 as a “free” download on the Gorillaz website, exclusively to fans in the band’s Sub-Division fan club. The entire album was recorded on group founder Damon Albarn’s Apple iPad, during the American leg of the Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour in October 2010, and mixed in England by Stephen Sedgwick. 

The “Phoner to Arizona” music video, a compilation of footage and images taken from the tour and the phase was posted on YouTube on 22 December. Shortly before the album became available, Damon Albarn announced plans for the album to get a physical release. The album did not feature as many guest spots as previous albums but additional guitar was recorded by Mick Jones on “HillBilly Man”, additional Bass on “Aspen Forest” was by Paul Simonon, and Bobby Womack co-wrote and sung “Bobby in Phoenix”.

G Sides is a b-sides collection by Gorillaz from their first studio album session, Gorillaz and the Tomorrow Comes Today EP. The compilation was originally released only in Japan in December 2001. The US edition, with a slightly different track listing, followed in February 2002. The European version, released in March 2002, features the original Japanese track listing. The reason behind why the Japanese and the US editions are different is because the songs, “Dracula” and “Left Hand Suzuki Method” can be found on standard US edition of Gorillaz as bonus tracks. The Brazilian limited edition release incorporates all of the tracks from both the Japanese and US versions of the album. All versions have the same cover, featuring Noodle holding a skeleton doll in her hand, except for the Canadian, Japanese, and Australian versions, which have her holding a Godzilla figurine instead.

Engines of Creation is the eighth studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on March 14, 2000 through Epic Records. The album is a unique and notable departure from Satriani’s usual style in that it mainly features experimentation with electronic and techno music, rather than the straightforward instrumental rock heard on his previous albums. With the exception of “Until We Say Goodbye” (which received a nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 2001 Grammy Awards), all tracks were made using guitars recorded and mixed untraditionally on computer platforms, as well as being digitally manipulated using synthesizers and computer software.

100th Window is the fourth studio album from the Bristol-based trip-hop group Massive Attack. Of the band’s original core trio, the album only features Robert Del Naja. Andrew Vowles departed shortly after the release of Mezzanine, and Grant Marshall refused to participate in the making of the record.

Released in February 2003, 100th Window was written and produced by Del Naja and Neil Davidge, and features vocals from Horace Andy and Sinéad O’Connor, as well as an imperceptible appearance by Damon Albarn. It is the first album by the band that made no use of samples, and contains none of the jazz or jazz fusion stylings of the Blue Lines or Protection recordings.
